About the Metro Council

The Metropolitan Council of Community Mental Health Centers represents the public mental health system in the Kansas City area. Our Community Mental Health Centers provide a network of treatment, referrals and support needed to cope with a mental illness.

In addition to traditional mental health services such as counseling, our agencies can provide rehabilitation, vocational and case management services to help you live a full and independent life. Our services are available to all members of the community, regardless of ability to pay.
